what is it all about?

The goal of this project is to demonstrate an informative, hands on environment with no pressure selling for people to come, look, observe, touch and feel how the variety of energy saving and environmentally friendly features work; how they perform and how they might impact on the lives of the families in the home environment.

Through the independent work of the University of Ballarat cost-benefit-analysis will be displayed on individual items so that people can make an informed decision about what items they may invest in toward making their new home or renovation more environmentally friendly both throughout their home, and outside in areas such as the garden.

This project allows individuals to make incremental changes that they understand and are comfortable with; in what is essentially considered to be the expected standard of urban living. Collectively this can make a significant difference.
